Viva con Agua supports the inhabitants of North Uganda – a country suffering under the influence and damage of centuries of civil war. Together with the German organisation Welthungerhilfe, Viva con Agua provides the population in the Oyam district in nothern Uganda with improved water sources by building and restoring wells. In Uganda, only half of the urban population has access to clean, safe drinking water and numbers for rural areas are even lower. By providing access to clean water, the project offers fugitives the chance to return to their homeland and resume agricultural activities, thus contributing to food security. A classical way of self-help assistance! Read on
