A new water management project is starting concurrently in three states in Northern India. The project's aim is to supply disadvantaged groups of society with water in the states of Bundelkhand, Bihar and Jharkhand. This way, both the health and economic situations are improved for people in the region.
Building drinking water sources, sanitary facilities as well as irrigation systems will increase crop yields and improve hygiene in these parts of India, which belong to the economically poorest.
The main focus of the project are climate change and environmental degradation and their inevitable impact on the people. The planned project will affect around 30000 small scale and subsistance farmers. More information
