RESET is a non-profit organisation. Its key role is turning public attention toward sustainable development and efficiently using donations to realise this goal.
Via progressive methods and fresh projects, RESET appeals to individuals, companies, and organisations that are committed to environmental protection and global justice.
reset.to – the leading information portal and platform for societal action
reset.to is the leading German-language information portal and platform for environmental protection and humanitarian action, fusing integrated thinking and holistic approach. Daily updates and thorough background information help raise awareness of sustainable living. Additional tips and suggestions assist in making one’s own lifestyle more sustainable. Event notifications and petitions offer opportunities to personally contribute to the cause. After careful research and assessment, RESET recommends projects aiding the reduction of climate change and improving living conditions in underdeveloped areas. RESET as a non-profit organization does not charge any fees for said intermediation, thus offering numerous means to sensibly put more than € 3 billion of donated funds to good use.
RESET’s other primary goal is optimizing the use of donations. In 2007, in Germany alone, approximately € 2.8 billion were donated by close to 26 million people, which is an average € 100 per individual. Apart from efficient resource management, RESET is involved in projects related to cultural exchange and the fostering of international dialogue. Strengthening these “soft factors” (e.g. through “Global Eyes TV”) is a form to promote humanitarian thinking and activism.
RESET: China and India
Beginning in 2010, RESET will introduce sections focusing on China and India. Reaching beyond mere localization, our foundation intends to establish long-term collaboration with locals, whose countries will become the major carbon dioxide emitters in the near future.
RESET Vision: Professional and progressive use of modern technology for a better environment
This range of innovative projects based on TIMES solutions (Telecommunication, IT, Media, E-business, Service providers) profits from RESET’s founders’ decades-long experience as well as from their elaborate networks. Endeavors, such as the satellite-supported identification of hazardous waste ocean dumping, slashing and burning, and uncontrolled carbon dioxide emissions of plants and factories, are self-supporting and can be transferred to public institutions for continued operation. Donations for RESET, thus, represent an investment with maximum and measurable benefit for a sustainable future. BE RESET.
Networking and collaborating
RESET connects committed people who want to proactively contribute to resolving global problems.
On our portal, users can discuss news and content as well as post their own projects and project recommendations for other users to see and support.
Resetters are actively involved in expanding and sharing the RESET initiative. By creating virtual teams each Resetter can launch his own projects and realize them within the network.
