Thousands walked for plastics eradication in Madurai city here on Saturday. The event "Madurai Walkathon 2012" organised by the Madurai-based DHAN foundation in partnership with the Department of Environment, Government of Tamil Nadu, saw school and college students, women, farmers and a number of government officials participating.
